Fable Friendships
One Book, Two Generations, Infinite Memories
Hello!
Welcome to Fable Friendships.
We are twin sisters, and we started this program when we were nine years old.
Fable Friendships is an intergenerational program where children and seniors connect through stories, conversation, and shared experiences.
Every week, we visit Ridgefield Station, a senior living community in Ridgefield, Connecticut, to read, discuss books, share memories, and learn from one another.

Story Snapshot
When we first started on June 12, 2024, we were timid readers.
We read to just one or two seniors each week. We felt nervous and sometimes unsure.
But we kept going.
Over time, something amazing happened.
We became more confident readers and speakers.
Our small group grew into a lively weekly gathering.
The seniors became our friends.
Now, 15–20 seniors join us each week—and they are just as excited as we are.

Keep the Stories Going
Reflect, connect, and spread smiles
"Marion told us how she once went trick-or-treating at Albert Einstein's house."
At Fable Friendships, we learned that stories have the power to connect hearts, build confidence, and create friendships—one page at a time.
